Russian and Foreign Practices of Sustainable Natural Resources Management Discussed at the UNESCO Chair "Environmentally Safe Technologies for Land Reclamation and Water Management" of Sibstrin
On March 19, 2026, Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin) hosted a meeting of the section "Russian and Foreign Practices of Sustainable Natural Resources Management" of the Educational Consortium of Siberian UNESCO Departments in English as part of the 83rd Student Scientific and Technical Conference.
On March 19, 2026, Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin) hosted a meeting of the section "Russian and Foreign Practices of Sustainable Natural Resources Management" of the Educational Consortium of Siberian UNESCO Departments in English as part of the 83rd Student Scientific and Technical Conference.
The event was held in a mixed format, which made it possible to bring together participants from different regions and countries under the chairmanship of Dr. Y.L. Skolubovich, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the UNESCO Chair of Sibstrin.
The Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Director of the IIEP and Deputy Head of the UNESCO Department of Education I.A. Kosolapova addressed the speakers and listeners with a welcoming speech.
In total, 10 applications were submitted for participation in this event, 7 speakers and 3 listeners were selected from among the applicants.
Representatives of the UNESCO Chair of Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin), SIU RANHiGS and Toraigyrov University (Pavlodar, Kazakhstan) presented their reports.
Of those who expressed a desire, 26 people were present, including teachers, students of various courses and graduate students.
The section has become a platform for the exchange of experience between students, graduate students and young scientists, as well as for discussing topical issues of sustainable management of natural resources. Special attention was paid to international practices and cooperation within UNESCO, which contributes to the development of environmental safety and the introduction of innovative solutions in the construction and environmental fields.
The work of the section was prepared and moderated in English by the head of the International department of UNESCO NGASU (Sibstrin), I.M. Makarikhina.
