Plenary Session of the International Student Scientific Conference "A Look at Contemporary Social Problems in Youth's Scientific Research" Held at BUCEL

On March 31, as part of Science Week and within the framework of the UNESCO Chair "Education for Sustainable Development of Cooperatives" at Belgorod University of Cooperation, Economics and Law, the plenary session of the International Student Scientific Conference "A Look at Contemporary Social Problems in Youth's Scientific Research" was held.

On March 31, as part of Science Week and within the framework of the UNESCO Chair "Education for Sustainable Development of Cooperatives" at Belgorod University of Cooperation, Economics and Law, the plenary session of the International Student Scientific Conference "A Look at Contemporary Social Problems in Youth's Scientific Research" was held. The event, held in a mixed format, was attended by students, postgraduates and lecturers of BUCEL, as well as long-standing partners of our university – young scientists from the Belarusian Trade and Economic University of Consumer Cooperatives.

A welcome address to the conference participants was delivered by Dr. Elizaveta E. Tarasova – First Vice-Rector for Research, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor. In her welcoming speech, Elizaveta noted that the university is holding Science Week, within the framework of which 13 conferences will be conducted. Elizaveta emphasized that three youth scientific competitions had been launched ahead of Science Week and urged students to take an active part in them, and wished those present productive work and interesting reports.

The moderator of the event was E.I. Chernikova – Head of the Postgraduate Department, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor.

The university library prepared an exhibition of student scientific journals and collections of student scientific articles published at our university over the past several years.

During the plenary session, the following reports were presented:

Dr. Oleg Yeskov – 3rd-year postgraduate student of Belgorod University of Cooperation, Economics and Law. In his presentation "Integration of Analytical Systems into Project Management of an Advertising Agency," he substantiated the need for the integration of analytical systems into project management of an advertising agency, presenting a classification of analytical systems, a model for their integration into the project cycle, and the practical results of such integration.

Dr. Anastasia Zhitkevich – Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists of the Belarusian Trade and Economic University of Consumer Cooperatives (Gomel). In her presentation "Dark Patterns in Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Belarus," the speaker outlined the varieties of "dark patterns," presented an analysis of legislation on personal data protection in the Republic of Belarus and neighboring countries, as well as a number of measures for regulating relations between objects and subjects of personal data in the Republic of Belarus.

Prophete Esdras – 1st-year postgraduate student of the scientific specialty 5.2.3 "Regional and Sectoral Economics" at BUCEL (Republic of Haiti). In his presentation "Conceptual Foundations and Diagnostics of Sustainable Development of Tourist and Recreational Territories," the speaker presented a diagnostic model for the sustainable development of tourist and recreational territories, in which he proposed assessing economic, environmental, and social sustainability.

Veronika Bobrysheva – 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Belgorod University of Cooperation, Economics and Law. In her presentation "Protection of the Digital Ruble: Security Architecture and Implementation Challenges," the speaker examined the key features of the digital ruble, its regulatory and legal framework, differences from cryptocurrencies, and outlined a number of threats (cybersecurity, data privacy assurance, international cooperation, and others).

Viktoria Yampolskaya – 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Law of BUCEL. In her presentation "Elections 360: Youth Accelerator of the Electoral Process as a Tool for Increasing Civic Activity of Young People," Viktoria presented a project of the same name, developed with the aim of increasing the legal literacy of young people, increasing voter turnout among young people, increasing trust in the voting process, and achieving other positive outcomes.

Ekaterina Bubyreva – 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Economics and Management of BUCEL. In her presentation "Current Directions for Ensuring Food Security in Russia in the Context of Economic Turbulence," she presented the results of an analysis of food security in the world and in Russia, noted a new period in the food security of our country that began in 2014, and outlined mechanisms for supporting food security related to sanctions and import substitution.

All presentations were accompanied by slide shows and raised questions from the audience. The First Vice-Rector for Research, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor E.E. Tarasova presented all speakers with university certificates of honor for their active participation in scientific activities and wished them further success in their research work.

Within the framework of the International Student Scientific Conference "A Look at Contemporary Social Problems in Youth's Scientific Research," the university has planned the work of 16 student sections. Following the results of the conference, the publication of the best student reports is planned. We wish our students and postgraduates successful presentations and continued scientific activity!
