The 17th International Seminar of the Cycle “Dialogue of Civilizations and Cross-Cultural Cooperation”
On 8-10 December 2025, the MPSU will hold the 17th International Seminar of the Cycle “Dialogue of Civilizations and Cross-Cultural Cooperation”
The Seminar is organized within within the Year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the end of World War II, and within the framework of events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the UN and UNESCO. All the events of the seminar are carried out offline with the possibility of distant participation. The seminar will include activities in various areas of educational and humanitarian cooperation, including with BRICS member countries and the Global South. A Series of Cultural and Educational Lectures for Russian language teachers and young Russian language learners in Russia and abroad will be going on these days on a separate schedule for different categories of listeners and different countries. Special event of the seminar is the All-Russian scientific and practical conference “Language and sociocultural adaptation of children with a migration history: Russian and foreign practices» During the seminar, the Moscow Pedagogical State University is planning to hold an Expert Session “Cultural Tradition and Social Inclusion” – Special event of the High-level international conference (under the auspices of UNESCO) «Current issues of inclusive education in the world: context, policy and practice» The Seminar is supported by the Secretariat of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, the Eurasian Association of Pedagogical Universities, the International Pedagogical Society in Support of the Russian Language, Council for Nationalities affiliated by the Moscow Government, and in collaboration with the Coordination Committee of UNESCO Chairs in the Russian Federation, the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE), International Association of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature (MAPRYAL), UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs Network, and the UNESCO Associated Schools. Participants: senior management and specialists — representatives of educational institutions for primary and secondary education, vocational, higher and further education from Russia and other countries as well as international expert and academic communities. Goal: sharing experiences and results of scientific researches, as well as best practices and hands-on experience by the representatives of educational institutions, scholars, experts, specialists, representatives of educational and public institutions on a wide range of issues related to the use of the scientific knowledge and education for the dialogue of civilizations and for the progressive development of the global community, including the complex of challenges the world faces in 2020-25. The subject matter includes: The potential of scientific knowledge and education for peace and development in a multipolar world The right to education for all The role of the teacher and educator in society Support of the Russian language and education in Russian in the world Ethno-cultural education and intercultural competence of the educational process participants Interethnic and interreligious relations in education Social inclusion, adaptation and integration of migrants by means of education Formation and development of civil and cultural identity AI in education, ethics and humanization of education.
