IV International Symposium "Science Diplomacy in a Multipolar World: Science. Dialogue. Trust" will be held on November 25-27, 2026, as part of the VI Young Scientists Congress. Venue: Sirius Federal territory, Russia Participation format: in person. The participants of the symposium — leading scientists and young researchers from all over the world — will present their views on various aspects of scientific diplomacy in a multipolar world. The program covers not only current trends, but also the history of scientific diplomacy and scientific heritage. The symposium aims to reflect an interdisciplinary approach, examining scientific diplomacy in various fields, from megascience projects and large—scale research infrastructure to social sciences and humanities. Special attention will be paid to the interaction of participants in scientific diplomacy at different levels: between the state and scientific communities, international and non-governmental organizations, development institutions, as well as high-tech companies. The panel sessions of the symposium are fully integrated into the business program of the VI Young Scientists Congress and are open to all participants. Organizers: - UNESCO Chair on Future Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) - UNESCO Chair on Science Diplomacy and Scientific Heritage (University of Sharjah (UAE), National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM)) - Sharjah International Foundation for the History of Arabic and Muslim Scholarship (SIFHAMS) and College of Communication, University of Sharjah, UAE - Institute of the Alliance of Civilizations of Ibn Khaldun University, Turkey - Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO - Russian Association for the Advancement of Science (RAAS). Young scientists engaged in research in the field of scientific diplomacy are invited to participate in the symposium. Selection of speakers: The speakers of the symposium will be selected by the scientific committee of the symposium on the basis of an open call for applications. The selection process will be based on scientific and/or professional relevance, relevance to the thematic areas of the symposium, as well as contributions to intersectoral and interregional dialogue. Registration for the symposium and the submission of abstracts in English are open until July 28, 2026.
