July 6–9, 2026, the platform “Baikal Vector: Ecology, Security, Sustainable Development” will be held.

July 6–9, 2026, within the framework of the II International Baikal Technology Forum (IBTF-2026), the platform “Baikal Vector: Ecology, Security, Sustainable Development” will be held. Venue: East Siberian State University of Technology and Management, Ulan-Ude, Maksimikha settlement, Lake Baikal. Organizers: UNESCO Chair on Environmental Ethics (ESSUTM), Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Buryatia. The event will bring together scientists, lecturers, representatives of public authorities, business, civil society organizations, and the youth community to discuss current issues of ecological ethics, environmental security, and sustainable development in the context of UNESCO priorities and the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Within the framework of the platform, the International Symposium “From Ecological Ethics to Ecological Technologies” and the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Environmental Security. Contemporary Challenges and Solutions” will be held. Participants will discuss modern environmental challenges, sustainable development issues, environmental education and awareness, the implementation of green technologies, geoecological features of the Baikal region, as well as legal, economic, and managerial mechanisms for ensuring environmental security. Following the event, a proceedings volume is planned for publication. Participants will also have the opportunity to complete an advanced training program “Project Management for Technological Innovations” (16 hours).
